Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, addressing the nation during the grand Deepotsav 2025 celebrations in Ayodhya, said, “When we celebrated the first Deepotsav in 2017, our only aim was to show the world how Ayodhya welcomed Lord Ram when the entire world was facing darkness.” He further added, “Today, lakhs of diyas illuminate Ayodhya as a symbol of the victory of faith after centuries of struggle. Every diya reminds us that truth can be troubled but never defeated.”
The Congress in Haryana on Thursday (April 16) suspended five of its MLAs from the party’s primary membership with immediate effect over alleged cross-voting during last month’s Rajya Sabha elections. The party’s Haryana unit Disciplinary Action Committee (DAC), headed by former MP Dharampal Malik, recommended the suspension of MLAs Mohammad Ilyas (Punahana), Mohammad Israil (Hathin), Renu Bala (Sadhaura), Shalley Chaudhary (Naraingarh), and Jarnail Singh (Ratia).

The Supreme Court on Thursday issued significant directives while uploading its order regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) case in West Bengal. Exercising its special powers under Article 142 of the Constitution, the Supreme Court directed the Election Commission of India (ECI) to implement the decisions rendered by the Appellate Tribunal.
