The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has made two further arrests in connection with the NEET-UG 2026 question paper leak case. The accused have been identified as Dhananjay Lokhanda and Manisha Waghmare. Lokhanda was arrested from Ahilyanagar while Waghmare was nabbed from Pune.
The agency also carried out searches at 14 different locations across India during the past 24 hours as part of its ongoing investigation.
Tamil Nadu CM C Joseph Vijay is gearing up for the release of Jana Nayagan, directed by H Vinoth. The film marks Vijay’s final acting project before his full-time transition into politics. Initially scheduled to release on January 9, 2026, the film was delayed due to certification issues. It later became embroiled in a piracy controversy. An appellate tribunal set aside most of the Enforcement Directorate’s (ED) findings and penalties against him and other appellants in the 2009 IPL South Africa Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA) case.
