‘If parents are IAS officers, then why children seek quota?’: Supreme Court’s big observation on reservation

The Supreme Court on Friday made sharp observations regarding the continued demands for benefits of reservations by families that have economically and educationally advanced within backward classes, and questioned whether they should receive the perks of the quota.

    In a major development, the Delhi Police on Tuesday transferred another case registered against Cockroach Janta Party leaders Saurav Das and Ashutosh Ranka to the Crime Branch. The Crime Branch will now investigate two cases against the CJP leaders, sources told news agency PTI. The other case linked to Das and Ranka allegedly entering the Jantar Mantar area was transferred to the Crime Branch on Monday.
