The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has taken major action against five food establishments operated at the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA), suspending their food licences over alleged violations of food safety and hygiene norms. The establishments facing action include the Permit Room, Pavilion, Mediterranean, Oriental Swing and Club Vay and Pastry Counter. The FDA conducted inspections at the MCA establishments on August 20. During the inspections, officials found several shortcomings related to cleanliness, food storage, refrigeration, food handling and overall food safety practices.
