American tech giant Amazon on Wednesday announced that it will cut 16,000 jobs from its global workforce, marking the company’s second major round of layoffs in the past three months. The move comes as Amazon continues to restructure following aggressive hiring during the pandemic and expands the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools across its operations.
In a shocking incident, 34 people, including 22 children were on Wednesday killed in Thailand’s deadliest mass shooting. Several people have been taken hostages, local media reported. In Peeragarhi car death case, Delhi Police on Wednesday got five-day police custody of Kamaruddin Baba. Earlier in the day, Delhi Police arrested the self-styled ‘baba’ in connection with the deaths of three people whose bodies were found inside a locked car near the Peeragarhi flyover. The accused, identified as Kamaruddin, described by police as a ‘maulana’ and an occult practitioner, has been booked for murder, an official told PTI.
