

Two inmates arrested under POCSO Act have reportedly escaped from Srinagar Central Jail in Jammu and Kashmir. The escaped inmates have been identified as Farman Khan, a resident of Sadanpora, Rajasthan, and Mukhtar Ahmed Gujar, a resident of Sanglan Chittergul in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district. Police have launched a massive manhunt to trace and apprehend the escaped inmates and issued a lookout notice in this regard. The notice also included photographs of the two prisoners and urged people to share information by contacting the nearest police station or dialling 112.
