Kerala draft electoral list published; over 24 lakh names removed after SIR exercise

The Election Commission of India on Tuesday (December 23) published the draft voters’ list prepared under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll in Kerala, with over 24 lakh names removed from the rolls. Chief Electoral Officer Rathan U Kelkar said the draft list has been uploaded on the Election Commission’s website, and copies have also been shared with political parties.

Chhattisgarh draft electoral rolls released after SIR, over 27 lakh names deleted, check details

The Election Commission on Tuesday released the draft electoral rolls for Chhattisgarh. The details have been uploaded on the Chhattisgarh Chief Electoral Officer website. As per the electoral rolls, over 27 lakh names have been removed from the state’s voter list. Chhattisgarh Electoral Officer said enumeration forms were collected from 1,84,95,920 electors. The SIR exercise resulted in the deletion of 6,42,234 deceased voters, 19,13,540 electors who had shifted or were absent, and 1,79,043 voters found to be enrolled at multiple places.

An alleged narcotics smuggler facing an Interpol Red Notice was repatriated from the UAE to India on Tuesday in a coordinated international operation, officials said. Madhya Pradesh draft electoral rolls released after SIR, over 42 lakh names deleted

The Election Commission on Tuesday released the draft electoral rolls for Madhya Pradesh. The details have been uploaded on the MP Chief Electoral Officer website. The link is available on the home page and requires users to enter relevant data in order to access the voter rolls. As per the report, 42.74 lakh names have been removed from the state’s voter list. These include 19.19 lakh men and 23.64 lakh women. Aoart from this, 8.40 lakh names have not been mapped.
