In a social media post, Vance said that “mass immigration is the theft of the American Dream,” arguing that immigrants were taking away opportunities meant for American workers. Posting on X, Vance claimed that studies countering his view were funded by people who had grown rich under the existing system. “Mass migration is theft of the American Dream. It has always been this way, and every position paper, think tank piece, and econometric study suggesting otherwise is paid for by the people getting rich off of the old system,” he wrote.

In a note, Moody’s said the disruptions are “credit negative” for the airline. “Despite temporary reprieve, failure to effectively plan for new aviation regulations is credit negative,” it added. The disruptions, which coincided with peak winter schedules, resulted in over 1,600 flight cancellations on December 5, after similar operational issues in November left more than 1,200 flights grounded. Flights cancellations started on December 2 and the airline is yet to restore normalcy. More than 500 flights were cancelled on Monday.
