The Embassy of India in Bangkok is actively coordinating with Thai authorities in the case involving Saurabh and Gaurav Luthra, owners of Birch by Romeo Lane nightclub in Goa where a devastating fire claimed 25 lives last week. The two brothers have been detained in Phuket after the Embassy’s intervention. According to sources, Thai officials are proceeding under local laws and are taking steps to send both individuals back to India.

Twentyfive people lost their lives in the inferno on December 6 during a fire show at the nightclub. Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has promised to bring back the brothers to India at the earliest.

Goa govt bans firecrackers, electronic fireworks in pubs, nightclubs and restaurants after deadly fire

In the wake of the recent fire incident in a nightclub, killing 25 people, the Goa government on Wednesday announced a ban on firecrackers and similar activities across all hotels, pubs, nightclubs, and restaurants in the state. According to the order, the use of traditional firecrackers, electronic fireworks, and fire-based performances or fire games is now prohibited in hotels, pubs, nightclubs, and restaurants throughout Goa.
