A Malaysia Airlines flight from Kuala Lumpur carrying 159 passengers was delayed as it faced a problem while approaching the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport in Kolkata for landing, as the pilot was distracted by a laser beam, airport sources said on Sunday.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced on Thursday that Prayagraj’s Kasari-Masari area will now be developed as Krishnapuri. Taking a strong swipe at slain gangster Atiq Ahmed and his criminal legacy, the Chief Minister said the area would no longer be associated with a mafia’s identity and would instead emerge as a symbol of development. “Kasari-Masari will no longer be known by that name. We will develop it as Krishnapuri,” CM Yogi said. He added that the announcement was part of the development process underway in the region.
