US President Donald Trump on Wednesday stated that America has control over the Strait of Hormuz and that he will “keep it”. Taking to Truth Social, he praised the success of the US naval blockade and claimed that it is being touted as a “wall of steel” and that Iran cannot do anything about it.
A fresh danger is looming after the deluge that swept away more than 1,500 people on the Nepal-Tibet border. There are fears that a newly formed lake of rising water could burst its banks in Tibet. China has warned there is a “high risk” that a lake which formed after the recent landslide may breach its banks, causing a second flood downstream. Till today, an estimated 2.5 million cubic metres of water has accumulated at the barrier lake near the Nepal-Tibet border, official Chinese television said.

The Indian team put forth a good showing in the recently concluded two-game Test series against Sri Lanka.
