Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) founder Abhijeet Dipke was on Friday detained by Delhi Police ahead of proposed ‘Lehra Do Tiranga’ March at Connaught Place. Earlier in the day, more than 20 Delhi Police personnel turned up at the residence of Dipke and served him a notice prohibiting him from holding a protest at Connaught Place on Friday, hours before the scheduled march, citing the risk of traffic disruption, stampede and threats to public safety.
The stage is set for the multi-format series between India and New Zealand. The Indian team will be touring the Black Caps. The two sides will meet across five T20Is, five ODI matches, and two Test matches. The two sides will look to put in their best effort in the multi-format series and play some good cricket.

A group of students from the university’s Islamic History and Culture department has announced plans to slaughter a cow and organise a beef feast on Friday (October 16) coinciding with Maha Shashthi — the first day of Durga Puja celebrations. The proposed event comes days after Hindu students objected to a beef khichdi gathering held close to the university’s central temple, triggering protests and demands for an impartial investigation.
