The State Transport Authority (STA), Chandigarh, has suspended the aggregator licences of Uber and Rapido for six months after the companies failed to comply with requirements under the “Chandigarh Aggregator Policy, 2025”.
Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation Election: BJP gets over 57% vote share, Congress 37%, AAP just 4%
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday won 38 of the 44 seats in the Gandhinagar Municipal Corporation elections, securing 56.64 per cent of the vote. The Congress won five seats with a vote share of 37.05 per cent, while the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) failed to win a single seat, polling 4.38 per cent of the votes. Others secured one seat with a vote share of 1.92 per cent.
