The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Friday issued a ‘yellow alert’ for Delhi after rains lashed several parts of the national capital and its surrounding areas. In its forecast, the weather department has said that light to moderate rains are expected in Delhi-NCR in the coming hours, along with lightning and thunderstorms.
More than 600 people have died in the devastating floods in Nepal, while around 2,500 people are still missing. Among those missing are 537 foreign nationals, including 320 Indians. Rescue and recovery operations continue across the flood-hit areas as authorities also remain alert to the possibility of further danger.

Maratha reservation movement leader Manoj Jarange Patil on Saturday once again given a big ultimatum to the government and said that if the demands of the Maratha community are not resolved by September 12, the Maratha community will march towards Mumbai. Jarange Patil said the government was trying to reduce the limits and scope of the agitation, but “however the Marathas are not hiding and will show up.”
