    The Tamil Nadu CM C. Joseph Vijay’s party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK) has passed the first electoral test in Dharapuram bypoll after the newly formed TVK came to power in the 2026 Legislative Assembly election by winning 108 seats.

    Rejinagar Bypoll Result 2026: BJP’s Shankharavh Sarkar wins Muslim-majority seat by over 75,000 votes

    The Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Shankharavh Sarkar on Friday (October 9) won the Rejinagar Assembly bypoll in West Bengal, defeating Aam Janata Unnayan Party (AJUP) candidate Golam Nabi Azad alias Robin by 75,816 votes. Sarkar secured 1,29,914 votes, accounting for 63.14 per cent of the votes polled, while Azad received 54,098 votes (26.29 per cent).
