Afghanistan carries out strikes in Pakistani in retaliation for earlier airstrikes

Afghan military authorities on Thursday said they have started carrying out strikes against Pakistan in retaliation for Pakistani airstrikes days ago. A statement issued by the media office of Afghanistan’s military corps in the east said “heavy clashes” had begun Thursday night “in response to the recent airstrikes carried out by Pakistani forces in Nangarhar and Paktia” provinces.

Anil Ambani grilled for nine hours by ED in RCOM fraud probe, called again on Friday

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) questioned Anil Ambani for more than nine hours on Thursday during the second round of interrogation linked to an alleged bank fraud and money laundering investigation involving his group company Reliance Communications (RCOM). Officials said he has been summoned again on Friday for questioning in a separate case related to an alleged loan fraud against Yes Bank. The 66-year-old industralist reached the ED office in central Delhi at around 10:30 am and left close to 8:20 pm. According to officials, the agency has recorded his statement under provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act.

Govt mandates sale of Ethanol-blended petrol with minimum RON 95 nationwide from April 1

The government has directed that petrol blended with up to 20 per cent ethanol (E20) and having a minimum Research Octane Number (RON) of 95 will be sold across all states and Union Territories starting April 1, 2026. However, the Centre may permit exceptions in special situations, for specific regions, and for a limited time.
