The Election Commission has officially released the final voters’ list in Assam following the completion of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR). The updated roll shows a marginal decline in the total number of registered electors compared to the draft list, indicating key changes after verification and corrections at multiple levels. “After Special Revision, final voters’ list published in Assam with 2.49 crore names, down by 0.97 pc from draft roll,” as per the EC official.
