West Indies have dragged India into Day 5 of a Test match after putting up a valiant fight in their follow-on in the second Test in Delhi. Led by centuries from John Campbell and Shai Hope, the Windies made 390 in their second innings to hand India a 121-run target to win the match and the series. Chasing the meagre total in the fourth innings, India are well and truly on course to win the match with a score of 63/1 at the end of the fourth day at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi.
The Congress in Haryana on Thursday (April 16) suspended five of its MLAs from the party’s primary membership with immediate effect over alleged cross-voting during last month’s Rajya Sabha elections. The party’s Haryana unit Disciplinary Action Committee (DAC), headed by former MP Dharampal Malik, recommended the suspension of MLAs Mohammad Ilyas (Punahana), Mohammad Israil (Hathin), Renu Bala (Sadhaura), Shalley Chaudhary (Naraingarh), and Jarnail Singh (Ratia).

The Supreme Court on Thursday issued significant directives while uploading its order regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) case in West Bengal. Exercising its special powers under Article 142 of the Constitution, the Supreme Court directed the Election Commission of India (ECI) to implement the decisions rendered by the Appellate Tribunal.
