However, Chadha said that nearly two-thirds of AAP’s Rajya Sabha MPs have quit the party and will join the BJP as a faction. Chadha said several Rajya Sabha MPs including disgruntled party leader Swati Maliwal and Harbhajan Singh have also quit AAP. The three claimed that seven out of 10 Rajya Sabha MPs of AAP have quit the party.

India, US agree to remain engaged on trade pact to maintain momentum: Government
The government on Friday said the three-day talks with the US authorities on the first phase of the bilateral trade agreement (BTA) concluded on a constructive note, with both sides agreeing to stay engaged to sustain the momentum ahead. Both sides discussed several areas, such as market access, non-tariff measures, technical barriers to trade, customs and trade facilitation, investment promotion, economic security alignment and digital trade, the Commerce and Industry Ministry said in a statement.

Sikkim General Municipality Election 2026: Full poll schedule, parties, candidates and wards
The Sikkim General Municipality Election 2026 is scheduled to take place on Friday April 24, 2026, with polling hours set from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The counting of votes and the official declaration of results will follow the next day, April 25, 2026, starting from 8:00 AM onwards. These elections are being conducted across nine urban local bodies, including the Gangtok Municipal Corporation, the Namchi Municipal Council, and seven Nagar Panchayats (Singtam, Pakyong, Rangpo, Gyalshing, Jorethang, Soreng, and Mangan). As per the updates from the State Election Commission (SEC) Sikkim, approximately 93,800 voters will participate across 63 wards and 121 polling stations.
