Maa Behen Review: Madhuri Dixit, Triptii Dimri’s Netflix dark comedy is messy, funny and worth watching
Suresh Triveni’s Maa Behen begins with a wonderfully chaotic premise. A mother calls her daughters in the middle of the night and tells them that a man has died in her house. What follows is panic, confusion, bad decisions and a growing mess that nobody seems capable of handling. On paper, it sounds like the perfect setup for a dark comedy. Thankfully, the film manages to extract quite a bit of humour from that madness.

The death of 21 people in a BnB (Bed and Breakfast) guesthouse fire in South Delhi brings to the fore sordid tales of greed on the part of builders, negligence on the part of authorities and bribes given to those who were supposed to keep a watch. Delhi hotel fire tragedy: LG orders month-long fire safety audit across city, defaulters face closure
Hours after a devastating fire at a hotel in South Delhi’s Malviya Nagar claimed at least 21 lives, Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu ordered an extensive month-long campaign to enforce fire safety regulations across the capital. The large-scale exercise will begin on June 4, and will focus on hotels, lodges, inns, nursing homes, coaching institutes, restaurants and other commercial establishments considered vulnerable to fire-related incidents.

Kuwait airspace shutdown disrupts flights: Air India Express services hit, Kochi-Bahrain flight cancelled
Air travel between India and the Gulf region faced disruptions on Wednesday after Kuwait closed its airspace following an attack on Kuwait International Airport. An Air India Express flight operating from Kozhikode to Kuwait was forced to turn back and return to its point of origin after remaining airborne for more than two hours. The airline confirmed the development in an official statement, saying, “As a result of the closure of Kuwait airspace, our Kuwait-bound flight on 3 June returned to Kozhikode.” Flight IX393, operated using a Boeing 737 aircraft, was diverted back to Kerala after the sudden restrictions on Kuwait’s airspace came into effect.
